🧭 Portolan

A local, dependency-free demo of a city gazetteer: places and events for one city, on one map. Portolan and everything in it are fictional — every place, event, image and link is generated demo data; nothing here is real.

Switch between 📍 Places and 🎫 Events in the header — filters, views and the map adapt. Events happen at real Portolan places, so venues link to place pages and place pages list what's on there.

The ✨ assistant turns a plain-language request into the filters you see — using a built-in keyword matcher, or an AI model when one is configured.

Your shortlist, saved events and theme live in localStorage. The URL hash carries the current mode and filters, so a copied link restores this exact view. Exports are generated client-side.
